Why do people hate Mel Gibson?

I know its the same with Arnold Shawzeneggar too why are the press so interested we are just interested in their films they are just very good film actors.

i know how u feel i don't really like him as an actor but u r right u cant judge someone until u meet them it is the same with Justin Bieber people hate him cuz there jealous of him and the make fun of him for no reason so don't listen 2 other people there just trying 2 pull ur strings

People build up idols to watch them fall. It's the same thing that has been happening for years. Look at Lohan or Tiger Woods. It only becomes a tragedy when they die.

It would be a fair point if he kept his personal life private... but if your going to openly preach your views then you are fair game for debate or scorn in Mel's case since his are rather racist and/or antisemitic.

It's the way her reacted to his girlfriends on Christmas morning. Noone would have thought he was like that but he was. He was screaming and threatening her. It was caught on tape and released to the public. Now alot of people hate him because he became violent and abusive.

Had he not made his antisemitism clear to the public, I'd still hate him on the basis that The Passion of the Christ is a piece of sh*t.

His is racist and anti-Semitic as was indicated by his very public rants.
