I was talking to an old friend and I asked her why she liked me.?

Her answer was "have you ever not liked someone, but then they tell you that they like you and you start to like them back?"...whats that saying?

Update:

I did tell her I liked her a few months before. I'd like a girls point of view.

    Her answer makes sense ONLY if you previously said you liked her.

    Then she is saying 'Ok, i didn't like you to begin with, but now I do"

    i beleive she either thinks u like her then relizes she likes u or sshes telling u maybe her likeing u will make u relize tht u liek her to
