What can be done to reduce world CO2 output?
I mean realistically, there is nothing that can be done except draconian measures that most people would not like. Such as closing all major shopping centers on a sunday for example. Making personal transport very expensive, such as cars. Simply making things to last, so a computer or gadget is expected to last for 10 years rather than 1-2 years.

Actually some easy steps can reduce CO2 output. Better education will go a very long way. If we look at how Canada operates we can definitely clean up our air. Also a lot of other countries have efficient mass transit railways that people actually utilize. We in America have the funds to do so, but we are so addicted to our cars and our Government still debated if pollution is real. Our schools don't teach enough about the serious problems that results from pollution.

There are solutions to reduce CO 2 pollution, but difficult to implement.Emission control is the main solution.People should use public transport and personal vehicles should be allowed only in emergency.Short distance should be covered only by bi cycle or walk.School children should use only use cycle or walk.We should grow more trees which absorb CO2.Planting trees road side will be an idea. Each home should compulsorily grow 5 trees. If you try these and persuade others perhaps we may be able to control CO2.

oh, you mean put things back to how they where, made to last etc. the answer is population reduction, less people less consumption less co2. but know one will agree to that,?
