If you have like central air I would keep them away from the vent that blows out cold air. Put them in a room that is cool but not so cold that you even get cold.

They will be fine if you have a window air conditioning then I would put them in a different room that is still in reach of the cold air so they stay cool.

But they will be fine, they will huddle up to each other and keep warm if they need it.

  • Keep them across the room from the air conditioning. If it's evenly cool through the room, put them in a different room where there isn't air conditioning. (But make sure it's not super hot, because gerbils can overheat too.)

What kind of cage do you have? If you have an aquarium, a bin, or a plastic cage with no wires, then just having them across the room should be alright. If it's got wires, then yeah, find them a room where it IS cool, but not cold.
