how much ground cinnamon equals a 3-inch stick of cinnamon?
the recipe does not say to steep the stick, but to crush it and add it. so how much ground cinnamon can I substitute? I have looked it up on line and gotten various answers, so please answer from experience.

I rarely put less than a teaspoon of cinnamon in any recipe!! Usually I double the amount called for as that is my secret ingredient in some foods.
Do it this time with 1 teaspoon, make a note on your recipe if that didn't make it flavorful enough and use more next time you make that recipe!

Because it is in soft bread you need to use a soft nut such as pecan or walnut. Also I would put them more in the sticky part at the bottom of the pan and less right into the bread. Cinnamon rolls often don't have nuts. Sticky buns have nuts or fruit.
