okay i am waiting for netflix so they can get the first disk to me of the funny televison show psych, i just wanted to know if the first disk is a really important disk that will ruin the rest of the season for me, like the first disk is on a very long wait and i just want to get the season out of the way, is the first disk that much important that it will ruin the rest of the season.

You should be fine. In the first season Shawn was very dramatic with the psychicness as the show went on he toned it down and only mentions it every now and then. So other than that and the special Yin and Yang episodes which you should watch in order, you won't be missing much.
