Have you searched online or in your local area? Have you considered other ways to earn whilst job searching? A catering company usually prepares the food at its premises and delivers it to the event when needed. An outside caterer will sometimes also provide drinks, crockery, cutlery and glassware, decorations and serving staff.
You could cater for - Private and corporate events. The former category will consist of family occasions such as weddings, birthday parties, dinner parties and funerals. Whereas serving the corporate world you would be more likely to provide food for business breakfasts, business lunches, board meetings and evening receptions. Hope all goes well!

Ummm = this is 'Law and Legal' ... it's hard to see how your work experience fits you into a job in the legal profession ....
Anyway, in today's job market, you really should not expect anyone to "give you a job"... you have to go out and "GET a job"... with your work experience the way to start is obviously to go visit each and every catering and hospitality establishment within walking / cycling / bus distance and ASK ("have you any vacancies ?", "will you have any next week ?", "is it OK if I come back and ask again in 2 weeks time / next month ???").
You should also 'sign up' to Temp AGENCIES in your High Street (they will know about Temp jobs BEFORE the Job Center ..) ... and VISIT THE AGENCIES on a regular basis asking if anything has 'come in' (after a while you will learn when jobs 'come in' = I'm guessing most are MONDAY EARLY MORNING when a local businesses realizes that one of their employees has gone off sick over the weekend (or gone on Holiday and no-one remembered) and they need URGENT stand-in .. so if you are standing in front of them when the phone call arrives, the job's yours ..)
