Find the derivative of each of the problems

y= 1/square root of x+1

y= tan(pix=1)

y= cos 3x/2

    y = 1 / √(x+1) = (x+1)^(-1/2)

    So dy/dx = (-1/2) (x+1)^(-3/2).

    I'm going to assume the second one is y = tan (πx + 1). If the second = sign was supposed to be something other than a +, make the appropriate corrections to this answer.

    y = tan (πx + 1); remember that the derivative of tan x is sec^2 x, so we get

    dy/dx = sec^2 (πx + 1) . π

    y = cos (3x/2)

    dy/dx = -sin (3x/2) . (3/2)
