Recommendations for motorcycle boots?

I have absolutely crappy motorcycle boots. They're heavy leather engineer boots that act as armor for the feet and although they're really good armor, they're absolutely painful to walk in for any length of time without the correct socks. I can't wear sneakers because I need over the ankle protection, and it's ridiculous to have to take off my boots and swap to sneakers after a ride. My philosophy is that I need to prepare like a cavalryman, where I need sturdy boots to protect my feet while on the bike while be comfortable enough so that I can get off the bike and walk through town, around motorcycle rallies, or whatever.

Does anyone have any recommendations for good motorcycle boots that can be used for riding AND walking? Preferably leather and with over the ankle protection. Money is no object, as I simply can't walk another day in these crummy Frankenstein boots anymore.

I thank you, and my feet thank you.

I've some Chippewa harness boots. I bought mine for winter riding because the steel toes in my engineer boots were just too cold in winter. The harness boots are great for riding and even better on the weekends to just knock around in with jeans. Now that I no longer ride, I've started wearing the boots during summer with skirts and shorts too. The Chippewas are very comfortable and I actually bought a men's boot in a smaller, narrow width. Hope this helps.

For the 7 of the 8 years I went Motorcycle Only, I wore the Aerostich Combat Touring boots (made by Sidi).

I wore them for work in office buildings, did light hikes, put 100,000+ miles of riding time in them, did track days, light dual-sport riding, cruising, walking around throughout week long MC vacations, etc... I remember them being STIFF to break in, but now they feel like sneakers to me (granted, they're also 15 years old now). If you can, try on any of the Sidi boots local to you (motocross, sport, doesn't matter) to make sure you get the right size ~ they run 1/2~1 size big in Some sizes (like 46 to 47 ~ I wear an honest 13 which should be the 47, but the 46 fits me perfectly).

Boots for sport-touring, as opposed to pure sport or racing boots, are much more comfortable to use for walking. AlpineStars, Sidi, Gaerne, Spidi (and others) all make nice ones that give enough protection for all but track use.

The best I have found are Timberland Titanium toe work boots.

They are light and strong. You can also purchase riding boots like Alpinestars, but they are not as comfortable to walk in as the Timberlands.
