Getting braces tomorrow... a few questions to ease my nerve.?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have to get braces tomorrow and I'm currently suffering from a cold, with a cough sore throat and no voice. I'm mainly concerned about the cough. While they're putting them on, will I be able to cough a sneeze?

If you really would like the best answer, I wouldn't mind a little description about how they're put on :)

I always get purple, but I say don't get dark green (could look like food stuck in your teeth), or clear (they can stain). It took about 30 minutes a set... I'm thinking. It was a while ago and I had them put on at different times. Pain usually will be there for the day and after that just depends on the person, pain when you chew will probably last at least a week. just make sure to take lots of advil to keep it away. You can take advil and Tylenol alternating every two hours so that is helpful Pain varries based on the person. I didn't go back to school, my best friend did. I say go home for a little and depending on how you feel make the desion then.

When they put my braces on they had my mouth wide open with these weird tools opening them. When their putting on your braces your teeth have to be super super dry to make the glue dry correctly so that the bracket will not fall off. So this means that if you do have to sneeze or something that it will just take the process a little bit longer, hopefully your dentist isn't the biggest ****** though!

well i don't really know how that's gonna work out and plus just take some meds that will make you drowsy cause there gonna put this big mouth opener in there anyways. I don't know if your gonna be able to cough or sneeze but just tell the person who's doing then you don't feel well. Oh and how they put them on i don't really remember i just know it was painful a little bit after wards. Good luck:)
