Will becoming a vegetarian effect my period?
I've been vegetarian for a month now, and my period has been late (I am not pregnant) and I've been getting this weird discharge that I've never gotten before. All I eat now is fruits and vegetables. Will this effect my menstrual cycle in any way?

You need to get some protein in your diet and healthy fats. Depending on what kind of vegetarian you are you may be able to eat dairy or eggs. If you are a vegan, you can eat various beans and soy products. Seitan (gluten) is another option or even nuts/seeds, but your body needs protein. You also need some healthy fats which you can get from avocadoes, nuts, olive oil, etc.
If all your eating is fruit and vegetables, you WILL get sick through mineral, vitamin, fat, and protein deficiencies and it WILL get worse.
You may want to see a nutritionist that can help you to build a healthy vegetarian diet centered around your own personal needs

ANY change can affect your period for a short time. Stress. Moving to a different climate. And yes, a change in diet. If your diet is healthy, your period will be back on track in a few months.
However I wonder whether your diet is healthy. Fruits and vegetables are fine, but where are you getting your proteins and iron and such? I read nothing about grains, nuts, beans, soy etc. It sounds like you just cut out half of the food groups in your diet without a though about nutrition.
I may be wrong, but if I am right you really need to research vegetarian food a little more, find out what you need and start eating it. Only fruits and veggies is not going to cut it.

Hopefully not. It's really unlikely that only a month's worth of change would have that impact, unless it came along with a significant amount of stress, or you actually stopped eating.
If you're getting enough calories and aren't stressed (or working out too much or too hard), you should be fine.
It's also possible that you haven't fully regulated. If your body is still changing (say, you're still under 18), you might just be dealing with a hormonal fluctuation.
Try not to worry too much. Keep a food journal for a week or so and make sure you're eating enough and have a good balance. Back off on your training a bit if you exercise a lot.
If you haven't had your period by this time next month, go see the doctor to figure out what's up.

Protein has nothing to do with the menstrual cycle. You can get protein from almost any food these days, especially if you eat beans, nuts, and seeds. It's lack of iron that causes you to miss your period, which means you'll need to get more foods high in iron. Dark leafy greens, beans, lentils, grains, sweet potatoes, seeds, and all nuts contain a lot of iron. You need Vitamin C to absorb iron, so make sure you get Vitamin C with your iron.

It sounds like you are deficient in iron. You should see a doctor about this, or buy some vitamin suppliments for vegetarians, as being low in iron can cause anemia which can affect your period.

Your diet does affect your discharge.
Just eating fruit and veg is not healthy, you need protein, carbs and iron, iron especially when you're on a period, as you're more susceptible to anaemia.
