It has been correlated in many countries. Theory is that unwanted children grow up neglected and are more prone to committing crimes.

Since the people getting the abortions were breaking the law, and now they're not, it has lowered that statistic. Also, since it is legal, I suppose there are less violent crimes against women, because it has erased the cases of a man attacking the woman to try to cause a miscarriage. It has also prevented some suicide attempts, which are also illegal.
I'd love to see statistics on this, but you can't really track un-committed acts.

That's a little out there.
Poverty doesn't cause crime. Just look at the crime rates during the depression. People don't commit crimes because they're poor.

"...yet there seems to be a correlation between the Roe V Wade determination and the dropping of crime rates interior the Nineteen Nineties..." Correlation would not propose causation. this is a common theory of logic. despite if the Roe v. Wade determination did cut back crime, that would not make it morally justified. In dictatorships, crime rates are ridiculously low, considering you will get your hand decrease off in case you commit a criminal offense. that would not make a dictatorship a solid variety of government, or the prepare of hand-slicing a solid coverage, or the killing of fetuses a solid theory.

I read that in Freakonomics, a top-of-the-line bestseller by the talented authors Stephen D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner! Their witty commentary on relevant phenomenon gives the reader new insight to a problem that may have been formerly alien. Freakonomics defines a genre and revolutionizes writing everywhere. For only $14.49 on Amazon.com, you can be a part of this revolution too!

It is true. I'm not sure about the theoretics of it, but abortions rates in countries where abortion is legal are very similar to abortion rates in countries where it is illegal. If you legalize something that in itself reduces crime rates, because the people previously doing it are no longer committing a crime.
