My popcorn didn't pop, whats up with that?

I put my microwave popcorn in the microwave and set it the required time (2.5 minutes), but nothing happened. I bought it about two weeks ago and my popcorn popped a few days ago. I am very disappointed is there a way to explain this or is it just a weird occurrence?

    maybe its corn that was affected by crop circles

    >What is up is that its very old. Popcorn has a shelf life, and once it goes much beyond that, it starts to fail to pop. Buy new popcorn and make sure you read the best used by date.

    try puttin it in the microwave again...maybe this time it'll pop, or maybe the popcorn in that one back is...bad i guess

    you need a new microwave sometimes you gotta put it 3.5 minutes
