It depends on what you mean when you say "socialism." Remember, the USSR uses the term "Socialist," but also the term "Republic," so are we going to say the USSR was full of Republicans? Too many conservatives misuse the term socialist today. Even if we were talking communism, Marx wrote against American free-market slavery... so it was capitalism that had "people livestock" in Marx's era.

As a social democrat, you'll find we want nothing more than a strong social safety net, so that people can feel free to venture into business, without having to worry about failing and being one of those 80 year old bums working at Wal Mart, stealing a no-pay, dead-end job from a 16 year old.

Not great grammar but I think I know where you are going.

Under socialism are people considered livestock?

Under socialism no. Under communism which is the practical application of socialism then yes. The people become subjects of the state and lose their liberty.

Socialism does not exist in the real world because people are not saints. Email me if you don't understand what that means?

No, that would be Capitalism, Corporatism, and Fascism.

Socialism is a new social and economic order in which WORKERS and CONSUMERS control production and community residents control their neighborhoods, homes, and schools. The production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not for the private profit of a few. Socialism produces a constantly renewed future by not plundering the resources of the earth. Under capitalist and authoritarian "Communist" states, people have little control over fundamental areas of their lives. The capitalist system forces workers to sell their abilities and skills to the few who own the workplaces, profit from these workers' labor (livestock), and use the government to maintain their privileged position (slavery). Under authoritarian "Communist" states, decisions are made by Communist Party officials, the bureaucracy and the military. The inevitable product of each system is a class society with gross inequality of privileges, a draining of the productive wealth and goods of the society into military purposes, environmental pollution, and war in which workers are compelled to fight other workers.

socialism is a political and economic system with freedom and equality for all, so that people may develop to their fullest potential in harmony with others. Under Socialism PEOPLE are the ones in control, not corporations (IE: Wall Street)

The chinese language people, on average, are poorer than people, yet via no potential is the chinese language government is detrimental. (basically think of roughly how a lot stuff they export!) through fact the U. S. is China's best client of goods, if the U. S. runs out of money, China would lose an incredibly enormous client; to that end, China continuously invests in American money. it is an incredibly convoluted equipment, yet basically know that the chinese language government isn't "detrimental" in any respect.

    More like sacrificial animals.

When the common good of a society is regarded as something apart from and superior to the individual good of its members, it means that the good of some men takes precedence over the good of others, with those others consigned to the status of sacrificial animals.

Why else would collectivist states frequently need to build fences, walls, or impossibly restrictive travel policies, but to contain their herd of victims? The Berlin wall for example was not built to keep people out but to pen them in.

Only under socialism tempered under Communism. Tempered under a Democracy with a Capitalist nature, it functions as a safety net. It's all about the right combinations. Think of it this way... Sodium and Chlorine and both bad for you... put them together and you get table salt, which you have to have some of to survive.

Right... because Western and Northern Europe are such tyrannies.

Get a map and a dictionary. You need to figure some things out.

    Under capitalism, people are commodities

  • Yes, with the GOAL of "evolving" them into hive animals.
