Why does Lebron play so bad in the finals?

2007: 22 PPG, 7 RPG, and 6.8 APG

2011: 17.3 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 6.3 APG

This would be good for an above average player, but Lebron is so much more capable than this.

I still think he's the best player in the NBA, but I think this proves he won't be near MJ in the end of his career, since MJ upped his game during the finals.

Update:

Hayes- I said overall in the Finals, not one game. Did you read what I said? I still think he's the best player in the NBA.

I answered someone else like this:

Everyone will have a bad performance. Look at Kobe. He had a terrible 2nd round agains the mavs. Does this mean he should retire and he should never play basketball ever again because he's **** now? No. It means he did not play well. If Lebron had ONE bad performance, you should not even be asking this question because he is the most clutch player in the NBA, and under pressure is when he's at his best.

Okay, so it's the same situation. He can have a bad finals, like kobe had a bad second round. I'm just saying that he's not playing too badly and that people are ripping on him for no reason. Lebron is not my favorite player, but he does not deserve any of this criticism.

Yes, guy. Right on. It's well to have a man whos a Kobe fan and feel that LeBron isnt MJ or Kobe. Anyway, what you stated is right. Im now not hatin on LeBron, however the guy is terrible in playoffs. Who desires to look LeBron airball freethrows? NOBODY! Man, this man is a celebrity? Better than MJ? Man, hes airballin freethrows within the NBA Finals, guy. Its terrible. This may be very disappointing. Most BORING Finals within the historical past. People are aware of it. Game a million had the Lowest Ratings in historical past. My god, The Sopranos rated higher than the NBA Finals. He's the worst "chief" as men and women name him EVER. He can simply preserve on crying approximately that lil a million finger contact foul on the finish of the sport. You realize what, if the Cavs and him made all the ones pictures he wouldnt need to be in a crisis in which he needed to take a deep three. They can handiest blame themselves, for sucking and now not making the ones OPEN appears which that they had the WHOLE 4th quarter. Just terrible.

He seems to choke under pressure. He did it in 07, and now he is also hurting his team, especially with his performance last night. I don't expect him to be as bad as he was last night, but I don't see him being good enough to help this team win the series. Dallas played extremely clutch and won despite Dirk Nowitzki having a fever of over 100. If Dirk was healthy, chances are they would have won by 15. In the next game, he will be ready to play, and I think this is where they take their first lead in the Finals.

Like the 7 game lossing streak vs some of the best teams in the nba this year with the heat?

Lebron does not handle pressure very well. He's afraid to put himself on the line in crucial situations. He doesn't want to have to be THE guy that has to win games. That's why he moved to Miami. He wanted to relieve the pressure. That's why they went to Wade last night instead of James, James "wasn't" open.

He's focused on flopping more than he is scoring. He's hoping the refs carry him to a championship
