How do I treat the burn on the bottom of my feet?

On my left foot there's a blister about the size of a dime and some splotchy white marks. There's just the splotchy white marks on my right foot. I got them by stupidly walking on asphalt, and please save the lectures because I already know I'm a dumbass.

Not to be rude to previous responders but their answers are steering you in the wrong direction. Burns are categorized by Agent/Source, by depth and by severity. What you described sounds like the source was hot asphalt so that makes it a thermal burn, and there is blistering/bubbling. This sounds like its on the fence between a severe first degree burn or a minor second degree burn though its hard to tell since I can't see it. Burn cremes are intended for minor burns. Putting ice on it can cause further tissue damage and putting cremes or ointments could also actually make things worse. Also, do not pop any blisters. You can get some over the count lidocaine spray for the pain. It should numb it up nicely. Wrap it in a dry sterile dressing or burn pad and make sure you pay attention so that it doesn't become infected. If it does you'll need to go to the doctor for some antibiotics. So yeah..dry sterile dressing or burn pad, lidocaine, monitor for infection.

    Good luck.

I'd say...have somebody go to a Pharmacy store and buy a Burn Cream like 'Neosporin'. This comes in a tube. If you have this in your home, even better:) Squeeze some of the ointment on where you got your burn rub on gently...then place a bandage pad or band-aid wide enough for the burned area and a bandage to wrap around your foot. I'd say to do this at night when before going to bed so you can stay off your foot. During the day leave off the bandages / band-aid so air get's in and also help heal the wound. Good luck and hope this helps?

Source(s): Past burns myself and I like this product, 'Neosporin', as it helps me all the time.

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that I had my 8 year old son in the ER last night with 2nd degree burns on the bottom of his right. To make a long story short he stepped on a stove that was still on to get goodies out of a cabinet. Anyway, The hospital told us to soak it in room temp water and keep neosporin or a triple antibiotic ointment on it. He is being treated as we speak by the burn center at the hospital. Good luck with your burns. I feel for you.

I added some Neosporin gently, because I got a rug burn at the bottom of my foot, then I put a bandage(Band-Aid) and I started feeling a lot better so I think that who ever says not to use Neosporin is crazy.
