How can I make a simple blueberry frosting?

Can I make a simple blueberry frosting by mixing blueberries to already made vanilla icing?

    no it would be too thin. you could just put the berries on top of the cake and frosting or make a homemade frosting and use some of the crushed berries to flavor it. good luck

    You can, but it will be wetter, and you might add a little more powdered sugar. Otherwise, cook the berries until you get a thick syrup and add that, folding it in. A little more powdered sugar if it's too thin.

    The best way is to get freeze-dried blueberries and powder them in the blender and add the powder with the sugar if you make frosting, or mix it into ready-made.

    Ingredients

    * 1/2 cup shortening

    * 1/2 cup margarine

    * 3 1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar

    * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    * 1/4 cup milk

    * 3/4 cup blueberry jam

    Directions

    1. Beat shortening and margarine together until well combined and fluffy.

    2. Add the sugar and beat for 3 more minutes.

    3. Add the vanilla and milk, beat for another 5-7 minutes until fluffy.

    4. Add blueberry jam and beat until well combined.

    5. Pipe or spoon onto cupcakes.
