Can I use a MAC OS X leopard disk originaly for a MacBook on My PowerBook G4?
I want to buy a version of 10.5 online i found for real cheap, but they say it is for a macbook 13". Can i use that disk on a powerbook G4 12" too? I wouldn't think the software would be any different unless since it doesn't have intel processor.

Don's answer is quite superb suited, different than that the unique deploy disk (which i assume you get carry of with the computing gadget) for a G4 PowerBook must be Panther (10.3) no longer Tiger (10.4) or Leopard (10.5, which isn't obtainable yet). examine intently, or you ought to finally end up going lower back to an older OS. If the unique disks are Tiger, you ought to insert the device deploy disk and restart the computing gadget on a similar time as conserving "c" on the keyboard. this might boot the computing gadget from the CD and permit you to reinstall the OS from scratch. in case you want, you may pass working the installer and choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu on the installer CD. you ought to then set up a clean Admin account on the computing gadget for your self. peace .

Not even remotely possible. That's an Intel build specifically for that model of Macbook. It won't work at all. You will need a retail version of Leopard, period.

No. The discs that ship with Macs only work on that exact same make and model.
