Victor Ortiz gets no credit... To be the best you have to beat the best...?
Have you guys forgot that Ortiz wants to be a super star in boxing. I give Mayweather credit for giving Ortiz the oppurtunity to enhance his career in boxing.

Aside from Pacquiao, Victor Ortiz is the best opponent available. Mayweather has been gone for more than a year so fighting someone like Miguel Cotto or Sergio Martinez is crazy.
Victor Ortiz is a young, strong, and hungry fighter. No one can say Mayweather only fights "over the hill" fighters. They're only over the hill after Mayweather beats them.
In my opinion, Ortiz is not really that good but like I said he's the best opponent available

Victor Ortiz has credit as far as I'm concerned. Big win over Berto.
Ortiz has trouble getting hit square in the face cause he's too open, but it's a trade off in his style of power punching. I've seen him on the canvas a few times but he is a warrior. Mayweather better get his ring rust off and avoid power shots early, then he will just cruise to another masterpiece and a lesson in boxing for future film study.
Everytime MONEY-MAY fights, he lays a blueprint for greatness. He changed the sport forever folks. Boxing is an ever evolving science that has decades of film watching and adaption of styles and fusing of defense. Mayweather puts on clinics every fight and for some reason, with age he seems to get slicker. His reflexes aren't what they used to be, but he definately mastered it. He mastered it.

Berto was on top of the world until Ortiz pulled the rug from underneath he's feet. Maidana won him but not but skill he won by heart. Ortiz is no chump I expect a good fight.

let's face it, for whatever reason, neither mayweather nor pacquiao took on andre berto, so yes, give ortiz some credit. if he pulls the upset, he's the number one P4P fighter in the world. Manny gets way too much credit for beating guys with 5 or 6 losses.

I agree. Not only is Floyd giving Ortiz the chance of a lifetime, Floyd is giving it to him at a time when Floyd is the most vulnerable.
Remember, Floyd is 34 years old, and even if he is known for staying in shape, there will always be ring rust when you haven't fought for that long. If Ortiz wins, he immediately becomes a superstar in the sport, and Floyd is giving him that opportunity when Floyd could have fought a much lesser fighter in his comeback fight.
