It is quite impossible to be held accountable for something when you are dead. All the people responsible for the actions you have listed died a very long time ago. Anyway, pretty much every other country on Earth has done the same, at some point or another with very few ever apologising, and some are doing it now.

There is absolutely nothing to be gained from raking over something that happened in the past, especially when there are horrendous crimes like genocide and ethnic cleansing going on today. That is what we should be focusing on, not the past.

Britain has been the leading nation to combat poverty and illiteracy and to fight for human rights and human dignity. Only a fool would not see that.
