When will members of the GOP ask David Vitter to resign and stop being hypocrites?

While Demanding Weiner’s Resignation, RNC Chairman Refuses To Discuss Vitter Prostitution Scandal

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2011/06/08/23944...

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren asked Priebus about this double standard last night, but Priebus refused to address it and Van Susteren, not surprisingly, allowed him to evade the question:

VAN SUSTEREN: Is there a difference with Senator David Vitter, I mean, with the whole — with his whole little prostitution — he’s on a prostitution client list. Is that different?

PRIEBUS: Well, I don’t know if it’s different.

VAN SUSTEREN: Well, nobody called –

PRIEBUS: Frankly, I’m not relitigating the David Vitter situation.

But even Priebus’s predecessor, former RNC Chairman Michael Steele, sees some “inconsistency” in Priebus’ acrimony, as he told MSNBC’s Rachael Maddow last night:

Never. Another thing the neocons do well is stick together. Cantor, the man who reportedly (among other terrible things), tried to block aid and assistance to Tornado victims should shut up and don’t even think about Preaching Moral Values to anyone. Until Cantor acknowledges and state that ALL officials (ie. Republican and Democrats) in office should resign for being in a scandal (and explain why he did not make the same request for Republicans in scandals), Cantor should be IGNORED and considered as a BIG HYPOCRITE.

Weiner was wrong, it is good that he told the truth and apologized, but he should have told the truth and apologized in the beginning, but based on what we know now, YES he can survive the scandal. People, let’s put this into PERSPECTIVE and let‘s keep it real. While there is no denying that BOTH Repubs and Dems in office have scandals (and don’t step down from office), a MAJOR difference between the Democratic and Republican party is as follows: Two Points.

    1. Many Republicans ROUTINELY STATE and try to PRETEND that they have the moral high ground on ’Ethics, Morality and Family Values’, and Republicans often perpetuate this Big LIE, by stating the lie over and over again when running for office, hoping that ignorant people will not notice their HYPOCRISY. Republicans will ignore BLATANT racism, promote Anti-Women and Anti-Gay policies, deny Equal Rights for people, constantly try to make EVERYONE abide by their religious beliefs (dismissing the fact that other people may have different religious beliefs), and Republicans push the immoral ideology that the budget should be balanced on the backs of Seniors, Working Class, and Middle Class, with NO sacrifice by the Rich (ie. $250K and above and Corporations), as they continue to give the Rich and Corporations more tax breaks, benefits, etc. Democrats do NOT routinely act in the above manner and support the above inequitable and unfair policies. I know it, you probably know it, and most SANE people know it.

    2. And what Weiner did, is IN NO WHERE close to being as bad as what some of the following Republicans (Office and Non-office holders, and Leaders) have done. Maybe you should ask the following individuals about their so-called ‘Ethics, Morality and Family Values’ and hopefully your eyes won’t POP out of your head after you hear their stories . . . . Sex, Affairs, Lies, Corruption, Criminal Prosecution, Prison, etc, etc. etc. and MANY of them did NOT step down from their Leadership positions:

John Ensign, George Reker, Newt Gingrich, Ralph Reed, David Vitter, Larry Craig, Mark Foley, Jack Abramoff, Dick Cheney, Christopher Lee, Sarah Palin. Joe Miller. Tom Delay, Dubya Bush. Karl Rove, Bob Ney, Duke Cunningha, Bob Livingston. Ken Kratz. Ken Mehlman, Strip club for RNCC donors. Mark Sanford. Ted Haggard. Don Sherwood. Jack Ryan. Bob Packwood, Jimmy Swaggart, Conrad Burns, David. Safavian. Al Gonzalez. John Doolittle, Roy Blunt, Jim Ellis, Roger Stillwe. Michael Scanlon. Ben Stevens. Ken Tomlinson. Scooter Libby. Paul Skiles, Kyle Sampson. Monica Goodling, Ken Lay. John Yoo. Roy Ashburn. Mike Duvall. Paul Stanley. Bob Allen. Richard Curtis. Jim Gibbons, etc.

i do not care who stated it, i imagine Burris could renounce. So does Pat Quinn, the hot governor in Illinois. So does almost all people else in that state. His appointment shouldn't were shown besides, on the grounds that he became appointed via a governor who became impeached and faraway from place of work. Burris for sure has his personal time table, and he's not doing what's nice for the folk of the state...it truly is what senators are meant to do.

LOL that won't happen they should be calling for the Senator Corburn to resign for covering up the Ensign scandal

First of all, what do you care if you're in Australia? Worry about you're own country. Second, I've been waiting for the "Let's vindicate Weiner by finding every Republican sex scandal out there." Please! Ever hear "Two wrongs don't make a right?" Even Democrats are calling for his resignation now. And MSNBC is like asking Howard Dean about Republicans--not very reliable.

Family Values Republicans get a pass. Republican hypocrisy exposed for what it is.

For all politicians (But especially Republicans) hypocrisy is a way of life.

I say especially because the right wing slime laughingly refer to themselves as 'good Christian patriots' when their actions consistently show them as anything but said persona.
