babys intestines out---heard something about dilation---what does it mean?
i heard two ladies talking about something being dilated around 6 to 7. i didn't understand that part of appointment and didn't ask. they were talking about it to each other right before one of them was about to put needle in my stomach for the amniotisis test so i was distracted. also i didn't think it was big deal or about something other than what i already been told. however, today i seen a post on a gastro group about someone mentioning there babies intestines were out and also were told dilated. so that made me ask what dilated meant. person said it had to do with how swollen the intestines are. is this true? if so is 6 to 7ish bad?
you need to shut up julie. your the not so bright one. it has nothing to do with my cervix. its only about the baby. the first persons link helped a little bit but i will continue to google myself also. im only 20 weeks so i worry about my baby getting worse and to early to have her.

You are pregnant and don't know what dilated means? Whoa... you are going to have a tough time my friend. Dilation is in reference to your cervix opening for labor. You dilate to a 10 which at that point you are fully dilated and ready to push baby out. If a woman is dilated to a 7 she is in labor and would need to be in the hospital. I think you may have just misheard the conversation and are trying to put 2 things together that don't go together.

The "what to assume while you are anticipating" guide says that many individuals say toddlers DO honestly cry within the womb. Obviously they are not making any noise, however they're doing the specified motions of crying (quivering chin, and equal respiring as a crying babe) usually... so this WOULD be crying in the event that they have been external the womb. Interesting! I wager they train this identical to they train swallowing and the whole thing else a little one learns to do within the womb =]
