  • NY State School Budget...if budget fails who gets the money first? Teachers or Students?

    I will be voting on our NY school budget tomorrow. Being this is my first time I wanted to make sure of a few things.

    1) Are (or can there be) separate parts to vote on?

    2) If it fails, what part gets paid first? The teachers or school supplies and things of that nature?

    My personal standing is kids first but, I have to take exception with the pay since our district the average household income is 50,000 and 81% of the teachers make more than this, up to 102,000? I want new books and supplies. In this economy right now when alot of people are unemployed (most for over a year) people should be grateful they are working and buck up and except raises may not happen. Yes, teachers should be paid well and here they are.

  • How is this abuse...no swear words no racist comments?

    OK, I just found out I got reported for abuse. I have no idea why. I did appeal and they said it was still abuse and did not give a reason. My answer was"I don't know, but I know it's true" Now yes, depending on the question it can be but the question was "Why are some babies born lighter at birth? My answer wasn't that different than the others just not as detailed Should I have put in a friend of mine had a son that it happened to that's why I know? I am at a loss and feel hurt by this as I was only trying to convey it's not abnormal. So, is there a way to contact Y! answers and have them give a reason? Or am I wrong? If you think I am wrong please include why as I have no idea what I did wrong. Thanks. I am posting this in this section b/c this is where the question was asked and is usu where I am when on answers.

  • Rebate Check Question. I am single and had a baby in 6/07, should I get $600, $900 or what?

    I have been claiming single, and 0 dependents even after my child was born. Income if helpful for 07 should be about 24-25,000.
