Why my orange label as "Top Contributor" disappeared?

I used to have an orange label saying "Top Contributor"

All the sudden it disappeared, and I wonder why?

Update:

Hmmm! Perhaps it is because I do not do any student's homework

and I said so . Probably it was removed due to that.

MUst have been a glitch - - it's there now.

According to Y!A : "A "Top Contributor" is a member of the Yahoo Answers community who has shown that they are knowledgeable in a certain category. Each user can be a top contributor in a maximum three categories. You earn it or lose it depending on your recent participation in a certain section. The more positively you contribute, the more chance there is that you will get a TC badge. Just like featured users or category leaders, it's another way to give credit to community members."

Y!A has never said what the precise requirements are. It's commonly accepted that you need to answer a lot of questions (50?, 100?, who knows...) in a category and get Best Answers on a certain percent of them (probably 10-15%) each week.

You can have TC badges in up to 3 categories at a time. There is no TC badge for the Jokes & Riddles and Polls & Surveys categories.

TC badges are based on your recent activity, not your level or total points, how long you've been here or your overall BA %.

Hmm, it is not a Monday. You have a fair amount of "Points This Week." I do not understand why you would have lost it.

Did you stop answering in what you were a 'TC' in? Keep in mind, you must continue answering questions in what category you are a Top Contributor in, and get a 12% Best Answer of those questions. Answer 20-40 questions a month and get a 12% Best Answer to keep it. However, maybe you never really had it, could have just been a glitch when you got it. Other theory might be, it might just be a glitch now, and maybe 5 or so minutes later it will come back on.

Hope everything turns out good with you and your badge!

The TC badge is dynamic, not historic. You need to earn it every week. Mine's going to disappear in a couple weeks, as it always does when things get really crazy at work over the summer and I have no time at home on the computer. It'll come back in the autumn when things calm down. Yours will come back if you keep up your input here.

It might be a glitch or you lost your TC badge because you didn't keep up with getting the best answers in the category you got it in .
