(question for dentists and orthodontists) Wisdom teeth problem and missing second premolars?
Hello, I'd like to direct this question toward any dentists and/or orthodontists that may be around since I'm in a rather desperate need for advice. I mention that I am 18 years old (since February, if that makes any difference)
The first problem wound be that my lower 2nd premolars are missing (they never grew back after the baby teeth came off). For that I got braces in order to re-align my lower teeth and to draw the 1st molar closer to the 1st premolar. Thinking that in this fashion I can avoid having implants or replacing the missing premolars with bridges (crowns?). Do you think that is a good idea? Or are my lower teeth end up dragged too far back (I'm no dentist, is it even possible for the braces to help the molar drag the front teeth backwards instead of the other way around?)?
My other problem is this time with the upper teeth (none of them is missing) which have had initially grown quite well. But now my wisdom teeth are coming out and have already crooked some of the teeth (esp. the incisors). Also, they pushed them further out. I have always had an overbite but now that my lower teeth are slightly straighter and the upper teeth are being pushed in front by the wisdom teeth, my overbite has turned quite big (I believe it's also 100%). The way I bite is naught but uncomfortable since the distance is so big (my orthodontist said I also have the jaw a bit far back). I will attach a few pictures. Now, to fix this, I have been told that I could either have the wisdom teeth removed (and leave the rest of the teeth as they are) or to have the 2nd premolar pulled out and get braces for the upper teeth as well ...and after some discussions, my orthodontist said it would be even more desirable to have the 1st upper molars pulled out, since they have had a lot of work done because of cavities, unlike the premolars which are perfectly healthy. Is it a good idea? Which one do you think would be better? Is there really NO way to fix my upper teeth unless I get the molars pulled out?
Other advice is most welcomed and thank you for your time...

Honestly, they are best removed. They are causing a whole host of problems in your mouth from cavities to positioning, best be removed.
