Do you think Roger Federer can win Wimbledon this year?
He's 2nd favorite behind Nadal @ odds of 5/2,so i was considering putting big money on him.I prefer Nadel because he's my favorite player but i really expect Roger to put up a huge challenge after his disappointment last year.He had a good French Open and there's no shame in losing to Nadal on clay.
Your thoughts?

i think he has a very good chance of winning wimbledon, he's had a steady season with good, consistent results and played brilliantly at RG so is coming into wimbledon high in confidence and in great form.
i can't see many players that would trouble him so i expect him to go very far and once he is at the business end of a major he know what it takes to win the title.

Given the playing he showed at the French Open, he isn't 2nd favorite to Nadal - at least not in the eyes of a sound analyst. If the tendencies are conserved, Federer will win this tournament and Nadal will exit before the semi'es - it's nice to wrestle on clay and come back from shaky performances, but he doesn't have the game to always play in half mode on grass. Nadal needs to put up more than he showed to reach the final and it's not said Djokovic can win on such a fast surface...
The best player so far to win it is Federer. Yes, put money on him rather than on Nadal - just don't bet a world!

Yes, he played competitively against Nadal in the French (which is a good sign) versus when he lost badly to him in 2008 and then lost Wimbledon shortly afterwards. He accomplished a mighty achievement in breaking Djokovic's win streak. He has the confidence to win. Also, I think he has something to prove to all those that doubt his ability and think he is in decline. He has the incentive to further distance himself from Nadal in record number of slams won (since Nadal is closing in fast). Federer doesn't like to be doubted and dismissed like he was in the first half of 2008. He showed this by later winning the US Open. When the people rule him out he tries even harder to show that he is still alive and kicking and that he still is a major threat.

Yes he can after dismissing Novak and ending his winnning streak, I think he is the man who could turn the ball in his side. And Roger Federer is good in Grass. I wish every luck I am on his side.

Possible, but who will he meet in quarter and semi finals? If he meets Djokovic or Nadal for semi-finals, then it will be quite tough.

I think Nadal will win again. He's younger than Federer who is beginning to wane with age.

Maybe it not seem so, but RF is number one contender for this year Wimbledon

I think his chances are low. It will most likely be Rafa or Djoković.
