Pretty much yes. Most of the schools from the Sun Belt, MAC, and WAC belong in the lower levels.

I don't think so. There are less each year now, with teams dropping to divisions 2 and 3 in light if the economy.

No. D1 has the fewest teams of any division.
No teams EVER drop off into lower divisions. LMAO! In fact D1 grows by one team every two-three years or so.

You could definitly make that argument. I personally don't see the relevance of the sun belt or the MAC in FBS ball. But at least it ain't like D-1 basketball, with like 400 teams.
