how much trouble am i in?

I worked for a car dealership and i purchased a pair of speakers from a trade in vehicle, about three weeks later i get pulled into the owners office and there were 2 detectives from the local police department, they are saying i stole them with out anyone knowing. I had asked the manager at the time if it was alright if i had them, he said he would sell them because nothing is free there, i agreed and bought the set up. I have not been arrested yet but have been questioned and filled out a statement with the local police

I am in no way a thief, i thought i was going about everything the right way which is more then i can say about anyone else in the used car business, but im being branded as a criminal at this point and the owner is looking to press charges ( he says grand larceny) even after i have cooperated with the police and gave everything back in the same condition i received it in

Update:

I will be pursuing my own legal action against the dealership due to wage violations, hours violations, etc. The place i worked for is a very shady place that i do plan on turning over to the authorities. They had even asked me to lie to a government agency ( not sure which one at this point) because they knew flat out they were violating minimum wage laws. I have the feeling that this bullshit is being caused because i didn't want to play ball. like i said i am not a thief and i went about everything the proper way. I did not steal anything and I had permission from the acting general manager

You're in some serious trouble man. I'm not trying to scare you i'm just saying it like it is. I would leave the country now while you still can. The Canadian border is a lot less secure than the Mexican border. You might want to try that. Good luck.
