I agree with lost on this one, it's too late. We have effectively run lots of businesses off already. Even if we do cut taxes we run into the problem of revenue shortfalls that can be ill afforded given the fourteen trillion dollar national debt. It's a catch-22.

It would create more jobs if the people at the top employed most of the people.

They don't though, the people who employ the most workers are small businesses. So it would probably lower employment only slightly depending on how much you give them

But since our government is running up costs in defense and healthcare it wouldn't help our budget deficits and it would just give politicians a bigger incentive to cut programs, which would affect people at the bottom and not the top.

And the thing also is that the taxes are already at historic lowes, so you can only cut them by so much until our government can't fund its obligations and when the rich take control of all the power and wealth in this country.

Why do liberals think that raising taxes on soft drinks and cigarettes will cause less of these things; whereas they think raising taxes on those who create jobs will have the complete opposite affect?

Make up your mind, do taxes encourage or discourage activities?

It really doesn't matter now anyway. We could tax every single person and corporation in the US 100% and we still don't have enough to cover the Democrat's massive spending.

Yeah more jobs over-seas. The prob. with these big companies is that they out-source their labor. Why we need to tax the hell out of em. Which is what Obama wanted to do, but Republicans want for nobody to have more taxes because they think rich ppl can't afford it........stupid in my opinion.

It's too late to cut their taxes, hyperinflation is on its way and nobody wants to look at it. Govt don gone screwed up now. It is too late to fix the economy, bush stepped on it and obama threw it at the wall. It would have helped a couple years ago but it's too late now. they decided to inject trillions of extra dollars into the economy. everybody in America (including me) is screwed now.

well idiots would think well since giving them tax breaks didnt work we will do vice verse causing them to invest in jobs..

The problem with that is, our jobs are already being invested over sea's, taxing them more would kill this country, as it would send more over sea's.

Common sense tells you that if giving them a break led to them going over sea's taxing them more, will cause a drastic increase :)
