What's a unique birthday present for a good friend?

Take as many pictures you can find of you and her together - at school, in trips, on concerts, sport, ...

then find a big frame and make a "masterpiece of art" using those pictures, some dry flowers, shells, a diploma for a "best friend", a poem that you like and you think describes her best - a picture of the rock band that she likes, symbols of your friendship (things that only you can know... ). Arrange all in a funny way (even one upside down, if you feel so ) and do everything from your heart - I bet it will be amazing!

Get your friend something random or meaningful.

If you can, make something for your friend. A personalized card with random inside jokes or if your friend is a girl, make a couple beaded necklaces or bracelets.

When it comes to getting something for a good friend, or best friend, the best presents are the ones that are something they either really want, something they'll never forget, or find really funny.

Chances are most other people will be giving your friend money because it's easiest. So really anything you come up with will be great. If money isn't an object, you can buy your friend something suited to their interests. Like sports? Get tickets. Like music? Buy an iPod, or band tickets. Like drawing? Buy a sketchpad and whatever artistic tools they like to use.

Here's an example of what my two best friends gave me for my 15th birthday:

Friend 1: potatoes with post-it notes stuck on them with jokes, numerous discs of I Love Lucy, perfume, cherry liquid stuff they put in Shirley Temple's, and a home made card all put in a gift bag

Friend 2: bingo stamper, key chains, a hot wheel's car, and a home made card all put in a kleenex box

They were the most random and certainly unique gifts, but I loved them all the same.

if i were turning 16 and i wanted something special i would make her a scrapbook with all the memmories and things you like about her on it along with quorters taped to the pages (everyone loves money)

One of the best and unexpected presents I ever received was a subscription to my favorite magazine. its sounds weird but it was so nice to get it automatically every month in the male.

When I turned 18 my mom gave me a PHOTO ALBUM with the title "this is your life"

Inside there were ALL the pics of me - -- from baby to teens - -- doing ALL kinds of stuff with pics of friends from when I was a kid

Get her a pretty box and put a bunch of inside jokes, her favorite candy, things she likes in it. Girls like it when guys are sentimental like that. :)

Give her a Visa gift card that she can use anyplace she wants, that's my favorite gift!
