Which surprise winner this year were you happiest to see?

Bayne at Daytona (CUP)

Waltrip at Daytona (Trucks)

Smith at Darlington (CUP)

Stenhouse at Iowa (Nationwide)

Allgaier at Chicago (Nationwide)

or Keselowski at Kansas? (CUP)

If you feel there are others, go ahead, these are merely suggestions.

I like Bayne and I was happy for him when he won Daytona, but many times at the plate tracks you just kind of end up 1st. Where, especially with Darlington, Regan won that race and to me that is more impressive plus Regan almost deserved it after the few times he was so close to winning.

I really liked seeing Trevor win the Daytona 500, Michael Waltrip winning the Truck race, and Regan Smith winning at Darlington

Side note: Kansas wasn't Brad Keselowski's first win. He won the 2009 Talladega Cup race in the spring driving the #09 Mikkosuke Chevrolet, the race that sent Carl Edwards airborne into the catch fence on the last lap. I don't know that I was that surprised by that one

  • I'd have to say Bayne because that's the only one I saw that I had any reaction too. I saw Smith and Kelselowski, but didn't react. With Daytona, I was so shocked I had only three words to say.

Has to be Regan Smith at Darlington. He took the win in a straight shoot out with Carl Edwards. A smaller Cup team taking on Roush's best and beating them fair and sqare on a track known for being treacherous.

Brad Keselowski at Kansas. Those Penske Dodges have finally come to life, another pole today. I find native Michigander's to be great and loyal friend's. Also very happy for Trevor, Ricky, Justin and Regan. Job's well done gentlemen.

@ Skyward- The question asked was about a suprise winner THIS year.
