What was LeBron's biggest personal problem that led to a melt down during the NBA finals?

“At the end of the day, all the people that was rooting on me to fail – at the end of the day they have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life that they had before they woke up today,” James said. “They have the same personal problems they had today …

I would submit he has some personal problems to, like thinking he could be bought and the championship ring was in his hand. It doesn't work like that. Will he be able to overcome his personal issues and become a great player?

I can give you an example for how lebron james is different from other basketball players of his caliber:

During this season in a game against Orlando, Dwight Howard elbowed lebron, and lebron said to Howard "don't do this again". Howard asked him "or else what?" and lebron replied "nothing, just don't do it".

lebron is not a fierce competitor. You might consider this incident as a testiment to lebron's level-headedness, but in fact he is just too soft mentally for the battles that go on in the NBA. He's a pampered boy who never had anything come difficult for him. He is probably the player that lost the most from not attending college. If he had missed winning the NCAA championship when he was 18, that might have been a good point in his life to figure out that he needed something extra rather than his endless pool of talent & physical attributes in order to be the best.

I agree he has not struggled like some players but rather had everything handed to him. Jordan worked for his endorsements, Kobe started as a bench player and worked his way up. He does not seem to be a competitive individual if the anecdote between him and Howard is true. Some players love intensity and heated rivalries while others don't.

But during his press conference tonight he had said that he does not care of the naysayers but there are many reports from friends and teammates that confirms that it affects him and maybe that affects his play. But it all comes down Lebron wanting to be loved rather than hated. Players like Kobe has been hated for most if not all of their career he thrives in hostile environments Lebron does better when he is cheered not jeered

Wasn't that touching, lol. I was watching when he made that comment. His problem is lack of maturity and ego. But I also blame the media for part of this. He has been told since high school that he was the second coming of Jesus and I get the feeling he thinks that just showing up on the court is sufficient enough for him. He has a lot of growing to do.

maybe you hate him because you assume he's full of himself and a jerk. you assume. now magnify that times millions of people who hate him. how much hate is this guy getting? perhaps some he had coming, but not this much. this is kind of cruel how some peopel talk of him.
