I just recived a parking ticket in the mail not my ticket?
Called the town told them it was not me the plate # is wrong talking to her the car was even the wrong make but she said the plate was registered to me . What can i do about it,

might need you to send a copy of your title showing the REAL type of car etc etc along with a copy of your registration for your car.
We had the same sort of issue with one of those rolling red cameras.........the car was not even close to my sons and HIS car was locked in a secure location on a base in california while the ticket was in Miami florida and he was on deployment.........took a LOT of work to get it sorted out, take notes of everyone you speak to, date and time name and what was said......get a fax number to send your correct information to.

OK you got a ticket saying that your car a blue Ford pickup LIC# THX1138 was given a parking citation on Tuesday the 13th at 12:45 pm at the corner F St and 12th Ave. Problem is your car a green Toyota Prius Lic# THX1138 was in the parking lot at work across town at the time. Or at least something like that right?
OK you can take your registration down to the ticketing agency and show them that they have made a mistake and they probably messed the lic place number up and that it could not have been you car because you can prove you were not there and the car is not the one on the ticket. Word of warning the clerk will probably not care and or do anything about it. Ill say 75% chance of that.
So you will have to go to court and take your registration and any thing else you can show to the court that would prove your car is not the one on the ticket, parking slips toll road auto pass tracking what ever you have. The judge can revoke the ticket.
If the plates/car is in your name then your the victim of identity fraud. and you can file a complaint with the police.

First of all it should be easy to prove all you need is your registration that proves the car is not registered in your name. You should just be able to bring it to court. Secondly I wouldn't advise you stealing the plates off the car your claim is the car in question. Then you can get arrested for theft of plates which is almost the same thing as stealing a car.
