There is a cover under the laptop that you need to remove. Usually you need to remove a screw or two.

The ram module in some laptops can be lifted upright by pulling on the side and then unplugged.

Reseating simply means to remove and insert back in the slot . Sometimes the ram module is not seated properly in it's designated slot and re-seating it solves the problem experienced at the moment.

Remove the ram module and put it back in is your answer.

What do you mean by resetting RAM? RAM is volatile memory storage, which means when it doesn't have a charge going to it, it erases everything on it. If you shut off your computer, or unplug it from the wall, the RAM will erase itself. So, I'm not sure what you're asking. It would help most of us if you provide as much detail as possible on your situation so you can get a better response.
