I gave my hamster some corn, will it choke?

Question

Ok so yesterday, I gave my hamster (it's a little white dwarf hamster, probably a winter white) 2 kernels of plain, hard corn (the kind that you use to make popcorn) and he gobbled it right up, with no problems. Bu then today i heard that hamster choke on corn so now i'm really worried, i've only had him a few days :/ there haven't been any signs of any problems, like he was perfectly fine in his exercise ball today, but i'm worried i could have harmed him... PLEASE HELP! also are hamsters ok with oatcakes?

Thanks for the reassurance guys, but what about the oatcakes? he seems to love them but i dunno if they're good for him ??

Don't worry, hamsters love having corn, like the other people have said, you get corn in the dried food mix anyway. You sound like your doing a great job, I hope you and your new friend get along very well :'). And well done for asking this question as well, it's nice to see someone who cares for there hamster so much <3 x

He'll be fine! most hamster food has hard corn in it and my hasmster was perfectly fine with it. hamsters are used to eating hard corn! dont worry he wont choke!

There's hard dried corn in hamster food mix. Don't worry your hamster isn't going to choke on it.

he would have choked when he tried to swallow the corn so it it went down ok then he is fine.  

Dont worry, he's now just a happy little hampster with a full tummy! lol!
