Applying make up products in a suitable sequence?

Why should certain make up products be applied in a suitable sequence? (E.g. using powders to set foundation).

Some makeup products are used before/after products to enhance the color or make it last longer. If you apply an eye primer on after your eyeshadows itll mess up your work. Same principle with powder then foundation, powder does nothing before foundation but helps foundation last longer if used afterwards.

If you apply powder before liquid foundation, then you'll end up blending them and make a huge mess of multiple shades on your face. And you should put concealer on after foundation because you want to cover everything you can with foundation so that you only use concealer when necessary and putting foundation on over top of it can smudge it.

I hope that answers your question (:

    1) Skin: Try to find concealer one shade lighter then your skin, foundation a little bit lighter then you skin and powder the same color as your skin. Since you have red hair any peaches or rosey blush will look nice.

    2) Eyes: I have blue eyes too. I use Covergirl Shimmering Sands eyeshadow from walmart. This really brings out my color and it's pretty cheap to! I would put the lightest color near the tearduct, the medium color all over the lid, and the darkest color on the outer corner of your eye. Then put any brown eyeliner, apply a thin line on the bottom of the eye and a little bit thicker on the top. Then apply a black mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

    3) Lips: Any salmon colored lipgloss or clear gloss will look nice with the eyes and cheeks. Don't do anything overboard like bright red because then your face will be too busy.

    What I use:

Concealer: Secret Agent Concealer in the color Light. (from the Beauty Supply)

Foundation: Maybelline Mineral Liquid in the color Nude. (from Wal-Mart)

Powder: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in the color Ivory Beige (from Dillards)

Blush: Clinique Blush in the color New Clover (from Dillards)

Eyeshadow: Covergirl Eyeshadow in the color Shimmering Sands (from Wal-Mart)

Eyeliner: Clinique Quick Eyes Pencil Eyeliner in the color Coffee Brown (from Dillards)

Mascara: L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes in Blackest Black (from Wal-Mart) or Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion in the color black (from Wal-Mart)

Lipgloss: Estee Lauder Lipgloss in the color Berry 13 (from Dillards)

    Good Luck!!

    Mols

PS: The Estee Lauder Powder sets up really well with the Maybelline Foundation but I've noticed it works as the best setting podwer i have used for every single foundation i've had :)

I think blonde hair is actually sexiest, but brown hair can end up being really sexy too. Black hair is never sexy. It's just really uninteresting and boring and flatters few constitution. Blonde hair looks best with blue eyes.

Basically the two go together to help get a 'better' overall outcome of your makeup. Kind of like peanut butter and jelly (sorry if you don't like it :D) they go together and taste good! It's sort of like tha!t.]

    Hope I helped!
