Does AP Psychology look bad for top colleges/ivy league schools?
I know that AP Psych is widely regarded as one of the "easiest APs" and some people say it looks bad.
Does taking ap psychology lower your chances of getting into top colleges?
By the time I'm done with high school, i will have taken about 15 AP classes and here is my rough draft schedule for next year:
AP English Lang
AP Euro

AP Physics
AP Psychology
H Pre-Calculus
Football P.E Offseason
Does having AP Psychology in my schedule look bad for top colleges? Should I change it to something like AP Bio or Chem?
I just feel that I need one class to relax and basically use it as a study hall to get my homework done for other, harder AP classes.

AP bio is stupid, i loved AP chem, and colleges admire people with strong skills in math and science, that's quite a schedule though, make sure you take time to enjoy high school, never again will you have so much freedom and so little responsibility. AP psych wont look bad by any stretch. there are a few other courses that would look better, however there are tons that would look worse. you re on the right track!

Wow, that's a lot of potential AP classes. . . several years ago at my high school, I believe we had a grand total of 3 possible out of all 4 years: English, American History, and Calculus. I glaze over when people start talking about "honors" this and that, as that was synonymous with AP. And this wasn't even a tiny school in the middle of nowhere! I think what I'm trying to say is that you need to factor in that not everyone has the kinds of options that you do. Unless the schools you're applying to get a lot of people from your high school, they'll have little idea if that was even an option for you. (My lack of APs didn't keep me from getting in anywhere I was interested in, which wasn't the schools you mention as they're not big-name in my field.) With that said. . . if you're shooting for the top-tier schools, you need to work as hard as you can now. Whether that's taking AP-labeled classes or not may be a different story, and only you know the answer. They're going to expect you to come in with a solid foundation on which to build, and that's the important part.

Doing well in an AP class helps you, it doesn't matter the AP.
