Xbox 360 kinect or ps3?

if you just really want to play all those sony exclusive, especially if you're a hardcore gamer, just get the PS3. i mean, the exclusives really are great. but if you want to try something different, i'd go for the kinect. gaming without a controller is a whole new way of playing, plus there will be decent games coming out. also, xbox too has some nice exclusives.

so, playing mostly by yourself, ps3

From what I heard you can't play kinect in the dark and yes the whole family could play with kinect and I'm sure it's fun. I've played it with my sister's husband and son but to be honest there is only so much a gamer can do without a controller. You are extremely limited in that department and remember you have your Sony PSN family of multiplayers all across the globe and the Playstation controllers fits the hands nicely and with bigger and better exclusives revolutionizing the history of gaming such as Heavy Rain and Infamous 2 the ps3 is one boat you don't want to miss.
