How do you jog with a water bottle and music?

I want to take up jogging around the block for the next few weeks. I'm not gonna sprint. I play badminton as well so i'm not a complete noob to physical activities but i am when it comes to jogging.

Do you think it's necessary for me to carry a water bottle and if so what's the best way of carrying one?

Also do you guys listen to music while you jog? I'm afraid the headphone might break if i jog, they break easily (the end of the wire) even if I just listen to music on the bus. (Had seinheisers/ tdks etc break on me) Also, When walk, they fall out of my ears (they're in ear headphones and the sizes they come in don't really make a difference) Any advice? Otherwise i'm just gonna be pumping music out of my phone and the world can hear it (doubt many people will be out and about in the morning though)

Update:

I've seen belts for water bottles but I'm a cheapo so extent i'd go to is carrying a fanny pack if i was that desperate for water.

    If you're just running around the block you could just leave the water outside your home and pick it up for a quick drink every time you pass by your house. If you think you're really going to need it, I'd just carry it. A lot of people do.

    As for the music- if you really want to be serious about running then I would skip it altogether. You should be focused on your breathing and form. Music will mess with that. It'll also make you not hear any cars around you.

    The water bottle belts are mostly used for long distance runs/ marathons and a lot of people are switching to gels.

    Youd look like a loser... as for the music if its an ipod touch get an iLuv or a arm band that holds ipods.

    If its a nano/mini get a clip for it. But for the water you really should be drinking it after each lap not during so set it on your car or something so when you pass it drink some. Or get a gatorade that you drink 15 minutes before a TOUGH workout.
