Absolutely positively a SCAM. You will next get a fake email that looks like it's from Paypal saying money has been sent but in order to credit it you have to email the tracking number. This is a VERY common Nigerian scam all over Craigslist

This is why you NEVER give your paypal details to anyone you are selling to - Craigslist is ONLY for face to face cash transactions and anything involving shipping to Nigeria is a SCAM

"NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.) "

Ignore ALL future emails from this person and if you get anything that looks like it's from Paypal send it to spoof@paypal.com

The next step of the scam will be emails pretending to be from Paypal threatening to close your account, or the police, FBI or a lawyer threatening you with a lawsuit or jail if you don't send the item. Don't believe any of them - this scam follows the same script. Just ignore them, don't open emails from anyone you don't know, and once the scammers know you are not going to fall for it, they move on to the next victim

Relist your item on Craigslist and put a big bold notice across the top and bottom saying

** CASH ONLY, LOCAL BUYERS ONLY, CASH ONLY, NO SHIPPING"

and ignore everyone who wants anything else. Unfortunately the scammers target anything electronic sold on Craigslist

This has rip-off written throughout it! the 1st sign is the "pal overseas!" the 2nd caveat is the willingness to pay one greater $a hundred! ( might you pay greater suitable than an marketed fee? ). forget approximately this deal or you will lose your ps3! those scams are regularly run overseas simply by fact the U. S. has no authority as quickly as the rip-off leaves our shorelines.

scam. the "you've got money" email is fraudulent. if you log in to your Paypal account directly, there will be nothing.

sell to a local for cash in hand.
