My sound card is recognized but does not give sound?
Onboard sound does not work. That's what I have it set to. It's recognized but no sound is emitted. Same with other soundcards installed when I switch to them.

You say in question you have it set to no sound.
Go to device manager and see if device enabled. If n then enable. If y then update drivers. Run sound troubleshoot tool. Run speaker check tool. Restart computer after ANY changes.
