I'm a high schooler with about $250 to spend on a bike I need. Which should I get.?

I'm athletic. I need to commute. Maybe like 5-10 miles a day. Oh and if it helps, I live in Austin. I could get a used bike also but I don't want to have to fix anything up. I saw this Used giant at a local pawn shop for $249 and the only thing that looked wrong with it was a rusty chain. Also, I was a used diamondback for $150 and only a rusty chain I think

Bikes sold on Amazon.com are usually the same grade as Walmart bicycles - VERY poor. Especially that GMC Denali. I've seen too many of them at my LBS (local bike shop) in for repair in about a year or less.

If all you have is $250 - start looking through craigslist for a quality used bicycle. Pawn shops are a rip-off.

You can't get a good road bike for $250 save up some more. A new one like you posted will last just a few months if you are lucky,
