If I get a new Surround Sound Receiver with 3 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output. Can I Hook up My PS3/Xbox360/STB?

If I get a new Surround Sound Receiver with 3 HDMI inputs and 1 HDMI output. Can I Hook up My PS3/Xbox360/HD Cable Box all up through the Surround Sound Receivers inputs. Then run one HDMI to the TV from the Surround Sound Receiver? How do I switch the Video the TV shows. When the HDMI cables are going to the Receiver first and only one HDMI id going to the TV from the Receiver?

    Your connections are correct, you just switch the video source from receiver input name.

    Yes, that would work. Normally the receiver will trigger the tv on when one of the HDMI input is turned on, without you doing anything. To hear tv program on your receiver you need to connect an optical cable from the tv to your receiver. When you want to hear the sound some receiver require that you switch the input source. Hope this will help you out.

    Your description would not truly make experience. The dvi twine is carried from the place? to the encompass sound gadget? PS3 would not have dvi and plus dvi is barely video no longer audio. attempt this: Take HDMI twine from ps3 and plug it into receiver of encompass sound gadget enter. then take yet another hdmi cable and plug it in to "output" of encompass sound gadget receiver and run that to the television. you need to have all audio coming from ps3 on the encompass sound and video on your television.
