Who are the only two fighters in history.....?

....to have kayoed both a one-time lightweight champ and a one-time light heavyweight champ?

Answers include tko's.

Update:

turns out there are actually five champs who accomplished this feet, not just two. maybe i should have researched this question more!!!!

Update 2:

five BOXERS accomplished this feet, not necessarily all champs!!

Update 3:

Jose ~ Hearns is one.

Update 4:

Jose ~ Leonard is number two. Three to go, and one of those is really tough!

Update 5:

Tongue Click ~ Hopkins is three. Two to go.

Clue.Of the two remaining, One is a current / recent boxer, and one is an older boxer who beat a one time linear lightweight champ and a one time linear light heavyweight champ, but was never champion himself

Update 6:

Clue; Of the two remaining answers, one is a recent multiple weight champion.

The other fought in the '50s & '60s. And fought for the middleweight title. He also was stopped in the first round by someone who many believe should have been a champion.

Update 7:

tommy hearns kayoed roberto duran & dennis andries

s r leonard kayoed duran (technically) & donny lalonde

b hopkins kayoed de la hoya & glen johnson

roy jones jr kayoed vinny paz & montell griffin

florentino fernandez kayoed paddy de marco & jose torres.

Thomas Hearns is one of them, as for the other, I would have to say... hmmm... I'll try to get back to you.

Sugar Ray Leonard would be the other.

  • I'd make a guess at Sam Langford KO'ing Philly Jack O'brien and...Joe Gans? Except I know he beat Gans on points, did he not?

    *thinks for ages*

    Bernard Hopkins.

    great question
