where is the water intake on a yamaha waverunner?
I have a 1990 WRA650 and want to run it on the trailer for testing purposes. I need to know where the water intake is and how to hook up to it so I can run the engine. I bought it 2&1/2 years ago and never put it in the water. I need to run it to make sure it is even worth trying to get going again. I really know nothing about PWC's I am a dirt bike and ATV guy.

I'm just guessing, since i'm a SeaDoo guy, but it's possible most watercraft might share the style of intake. Look at the back where your jet drive assembly is. On a seadoo, there is a small plastic inlet sticking out from the back, that you can screw a garden hose into. You can use it for flushing the engine, dry land running, or winterizing. Look for a 3/4 inch or so tube sticking out the back, that's threaded on the inside for a garden hose.
Just make sure you run the engine while the hose is on. Don't run water into the engine while it's off.
