Where do a 56 year old woman in a mentally abusive marriage go for help?

I've gone to support groups, sought out legal aid help for a divorce but here in Georgia, I've been told they only can help women with small children. I've tried to find work, to no avail, need to brush up on my administrative skills, but the government programs here in GA won't allow me to participate, and my spouse refuses to support me financially,if he gives me one-red nickle I have to pay for it by swallowing his verbal abuse. I stay isolated in one room with the door locked just to feel safe from being verbally and mentally abused. I'm tired of feeling like a prisoner in my own home, I've even called the domestic crisis line because I feel so in distress, what should I do?

Update:

I've tried seeking out help, I'm mentally, physically, and spiritually drained. He knows I don't have a job, money, or any where to go. I stay home because I'm financially broke while he runs around town (shopping, eating out, and whatever) because he hates being at home. I considered myself to be well prepared being a wife, making a good home for the both us coming into this relationship. But this crap is beyond me.

any job even fast food is in the right direction, try to find a furnished room for rent or a hotel to move to.

I traded a hotel for working as a maid for my room, but I had violence to escape from so more incentive. I also worked as a waitress part time till I saved enough for a studio

Get a job that does not require an education. Save money, get out.
