will a Seagate 160 GB Laptop harddrive hard drive 5m50nc1 fit an inspiron 3800?

oh and the harddrive came out of an inspiron1505 if that helps
the 5m50nc1 is meaningless it was just the service tag of the laptop the drive came out of so ignore that please

The real question is what interface does your laptop hard drive bay take? If it's Serial ATA then you're good if not the no.
Usually laptop hard drives are the same dimension.
