What do you think of my "Mix Tape"?
My girlfriend, of 3 years now, asked me to do something romantic for her and make her a "Mixed Tape". Yes, she told me, the "something romantic" she wanted immediately after asking me to think of something. She also added it should reflect me, and not be random songs. I found it was tough choosing just 20. Anyway, so here it is:

Yeah, its GREAT. I mean, they are all "love songs" from bands we dont generally think of as being lame-o lovey-dovey - so that alone was a challenge, Im sure. And Im assuming this is the kinda music you listen to, thus it reflects you. I LOVE it.
JMO - Music TRULY IS the "soundtrack to our lives". I still have "mix tapes" (only the cd version, right) from all kinda of times in life, sometimes even including ones that were given to me (by a girl "friend" or an actual boyfriend). I some labeled things like "Vegas '09" or "Summer '10" and when I pop them in...it brings me right back to that time/place. What a great feeling! Songs are as good as pictures.
I like what ur doing here bc FOREVER, even if you two break up (and I hope you dont!), she will have this lil piece of you. And even if shes 30 years old, married with 2 kids running around her home, if she comes across THIS cd, she will think of you and the great times you had together. How nice, right??!!!
Bottom line - you did a really nice job, very thoughtful, you can tell! Im sure it WASNT easy to pick just 20. And I love that you didnt take the easy way out and go all Michael Bolton on her and create something she would never actually listen to. You chose relavant bands, great songs, and kept the tone in sync with ur romantic relationship. Great Job!!!

It's a nice list. I like the bands, however I would have probably chosen something slightly different in terms of song. For example:
Bob Dylan: Simple twist of fate
REM: The one I love
U2: With or without you
But it's very personal, I guess!!
