How to transfer money to different bank?
So I'm going to get a credit and debit card but right now my savings are in northern trust bank which doesn't offer it's own credit cards which means I have to pay more fees. My family and I have decided to change banks? How do we go about doing that? How do I take my money out of northern trut and put it into citibank or bank of America.

Once you've decided where you want your new account, speak to the customer service personnel at your new bank. Write a check to the name of the new account. For example, if you open your new account under the name John Smith, write John Smith on the line where it reads "pay to the order of". Endorse the check as
For deposit only
John Smith
at [name of bank]
account number [write the account number of your new account]
Please note that it will take a couple of days for the check to clear before you can withdraw money from the new account.

Just take a check and write it to yourself for the full amount then deposite it into your new account. Simple as that.
