Many ships have WiFi but it is very expensive and slow. I doubt that a game would work. Internet can cost up to 75 cents a minute.

I would leave the IPad at home. The internet is not wifi on most ships. You would have to use there computers on the ship. The rate is insane. Usually people use it for emergency or critical business needs.
The only way you can play your games would be if they require no internet connection.
The water slides are funnier anyway:)

Only if they do not need an online connection. Cellular at Sea is not capable of 3G. You can buy a wifi package if needed or wanted.

It will be very expensive, if it's available at all. You will need to find something other than electronics to entertain yourself on the cruise. You can play with your electronics at home. Why spend all this money on a cruise if that's all you're going to entertain yourself with?
